Yesterday after such a great weigh-in, I blew it with a trip to Terrace and didn't plan enough. I ate my lunch and packed a snack thinking we would be home for dinner. Then we weren't and we bumped into some friends. One thing led to another and we ended up at Pizza Hut. It was so yummy but not on program and definitely too salty.
So this morning, the scale did not look as good which was to be expected but that's life. Onwards I go!
I had a great day today - only deviation from the food plan was I had some baked low-fat fries when I was getting my family's fish and chip dinner together. I counted that as a my limited free options and went from there.
What I did really well today was move - I went skating with DH and DS and we had such a nice time. My feet were a bit sore and I had to stop twice but otherwise got in some good skating time. My thighs are feeling it! After supper, I went for a walk as well. I have now met my minimum activity goal - 3 times this week.
One thing I find challenging with Jenny is eating out which they really encourage you not to do. But that is unrealistic so I need to find a way to work that in.
Another thing is that when you are finished eating your daily meal plan, that is it! On WeightWatchers you have the weekly points allowance that you can dip into if you need to. On Jenny, no such luck. There are 3 limited free foods which are very small portions or extras. I need to look into what is available with those on the days when I feel really hungry.
Right now I feel like my stomach is empty. I am tired and I'm going to bed soon to avoid any unplanned eating. Sleep is important to weight-loss as well so it will help in lots of ways.
It's been a good day and I'm feeling positive about this week.
I am still focusing on "242 by 10/18." I think it is entirely doable and I am going to remind myself of this goal every time I feel tempted. I have goals to meet! :)
Oh, on another note, on my walk this afternoon I bumped into a woman who had gastric bypass this past May and she looks fantastic. I didn't ask her how much she has lost but it is definitely significant. More importantly, she looks really healthy - her hair, skin and eyes are just shiny and healthy looking. I told her that my doctor is sending in the referral and I'm sort of afraid and nervous. She invited me to attend a support group in town for people who have had bariatric surgey. I'm going to go and see. I think its important to find out what it is all about.
