Huge NSV today!

Well, I have been struggling lately with the scales lack of cooperation. Three weeks in a row I have seen a gain at the scale but I feel good and have lost 1.75 inches on my hips and 1.75 inches on my waist since starting the BFL challenge six weeks ago. It has just been so frustrating to work hard and not see that pay off at the scale.

I was just starting to feel better about it and moving on focusing on the fact that I am doing good things for my health. It seems whenever I am down, God always manages to give me something positive to lift me up again. Today I saw the results of my recent cholesterol tests and I am entirely normal - HDL good, LDL good and triglycerides good and my cholesterol ratio absolutely normal! All my results entirely normal! This time last year I was borderline but on the high side and it was definitely a concern. Now, after almost one year of healthy eating and regular activity, the results are normal - not on the high side - absolutely normal! Yay! Such a great NSV! I am so excited and recommitted to my goals!


Another great thing this week to encourage me is that I bought a new winter coat in a size 14. Early this year, I bought a new smaller coat but it was in a size 20 then! How exciting to see that change!

Here's a picture of me with my new coat on and I also got a new hairdo and some subtle streaks just so that I can feel good about myself when my 43rd birthday comes! And just so you know, I am definitely bringing sexy back! :)

I am excited all over again just knowing that I am reaching my goals of better health, renewed energy and living an active lifestyle! Life is good! :)
